Mosuos project was born from my dreams.
Dreams of designing clothes for women.
Clothes that are simple,comfortable, well constructed, beautifully sewn and perfectly finished.
Cross-generational clothes.
The kind that Mom and Daughter can wear and both feel and look great in them.
modern women face many challenges during the day.
we know this, we live it.
great tasks require great tools to deal with them.
we want to give you those tools.
or rather, we want you to go and get these tools yourself.
not just you, but as many girls as possible.
We do not need to explain how important fashion is in everyday life.
can serve as such a tool.
It can help you feel good.
can help you make an impression.
it shows you off.
What’s more, we want it to give you comfort.
AND confidence.
The comfort and confidence you may need.
To be versatile, yet unique.
so that you can be with her in the morning when you set out for another great day, and in the evening when you celebrate the day’s success.

and we believe that our duty, having the privilege of doing what we love, is to share that good.

But we don’t want to do it at anyone’s expense.

mosuos is the kingdom of women.
They know what they want and they reach for it.
living on the shores of Lake Lugu, they have ruled themselves for centuries in peace and harmony.
we want to take an example from them.
we want to honor them.
Chinese ethnic group living in the Himalayas on the mountainous Lugu Lake.
has functioned in a matriarchal and matrilineal social structure for centuries.
women are the center of this small universe.
They do not enter into formal marriages, children born from so-called “walking marriages” are raised together.
“walking marriages” are raised together, men stay in the mother’s family,
raise children with their sisters and cousins.
At the head of the Mosuo clan, usually stands the oldest and most experienced member of the clan.
It is she who makes all the decisions (in consultation with other family members, of course) .
because, MOSUO women do not marry, the material goods acquired over the generations, do not migrate outside the clan.
this ensures the clan’s
financial independence and self-sufficiency, and thus the ability to care for and help elderly, frail or sick clan members who cannot actively participate in the clan’s upkeep.
The Mosuo speak their own distinct language.
In this language there are no words :
violence, rape, war.
